Hi. I used Dreamhost to backup database and files in the past.

But I need something better and something that does support rsync and ssh. Dreamhost (backups) only support rsync, sftp..

Can anyone suggest a host that doesn't impose any restrictions on file storage.

It's ok if: 1) There are limits set (Disk space) 2) Servers are not in U.S

I just need something that supports SSH.

Many thanks.

You could try something like amazon S3 (Cloud storage though) and using tools like this one I found: http://jeremy.zawodny.com/blog/archives/007641.html

However I do believe this is expensive. Why not set up your own? All it takes is a friend/company/relatives or a school to allow you to setup an ubuntu box with a permanent dsl connection and set up ssh or vpn to allow you to backup to their network. maybe you could try hamachi or something to ssh to the computer

I do use S3. But for storing assets (not for backups). I'd rather pay than go for the last comment about Ubuntu. Still looking for a host for backups.

Try siteautobackup.com, I'm not sure though if they allow SSH connections :)
